Roughly 2,000 years ago, a group of Engineers stationed themselves on LV-223 and planned to destroy humanity on Earth by releasing a pathogen. One way or another, the engineers themselves were exposed to the mutagen, and in the ensuing chaos, most of them were killed.. Three Engineers managed to take refuge within a juggernaut and stored themselves within the Hypersleep Chambers, likely to wait for the pathogen to die off.
In 2093, after the Prometheus' two year voyage, the ship arrived on LV-223. The android David who was aboard the Prometheus successfully found the Hypersleep chambers of The Engineers, Only one Engineer survived while his brethern weren't as lucky, as their Hypersleep Chambers stopped functioning, as a result of which they died, and one survived.
This new offering will lead you through the energetic, dystopian, cosmic ambiance of a group of Engineers based on their military outpost, a journey through survival, an exciting experience of the completely unknown as the mutagen created by The Engineers rebels as their other creations. Biological weaponry takes the wrong turn, the reality of the fate of their group becomes bleak as their pathogen releases upon them and take an unforeseen number of their lives, since only a few are able to outrun and survive.
I believe that there are several factions of Engineers. Seeders and destroyers. The faction in vestments that we see at the beginning of Prometheus, which uses a black mutagen as a way to sow life on planets and those who use a mutagen as biological warfare to erase planets from a pure life that has gone astray. In Prometheus, the Engineers found in LV-223 were about to erase humanity on Earth, but were stopped before they could launch an attack. I suspect that the Destroyer Engineers faction sent an envoy to observe and interact with humanity, until humanity challenged their ways and killed their messenger. In revenge for their loss, the warring faction decided to end humanity on Earth and restart. The Seeders who inseminated the Earth intervened to defend their creatures by releasing the pathogen in the warring faction of their military installation located on LV-223.

"Elizabeth Shaw: We call them Engineers.
Milburn: Do you mind telling us what they engineered?
Elizabeth Shaw: They engineered us"
"Captain Janek : Where the hell you going, doc? You know what this place is? Those Engineers, this ain't their home. It's an installation. Maybe even military. They put it out here in the middle of nowhere because they're not stupid enough to make weapons of mass destruction on their own doorstep. That's what all that shit is in those vases. They made it here. It got out, turned on them. The end. It's time for us to go home."
"Elizabeth Shaw: You don't understand, this place isn't what we thought it was. I was wrong. We were so wrong. We must leave!"

NIGHTMARE FUEL! Industrial sci-fi dark ambient from beginning to end. I can feel the ageing bulkheads creaking and straining through the cold depths of space. The isolation and every nuance of the ships sounds are perfectly visualised. Space Ambient has never been so wonderfully bleak. darkdelight
I listen to a lot of dark ambient. It rarely gets to me, but hours of The Rosenshoul's albums have me thinking my destiny is trapped forever between the walls of some decaying manor. hello swirl
